Photo Upload Terms

You confirm that you took the photo yourself or hold all rights necessary to upload and license it as described here, and that no third-party rights (copyright, trademark, personality rights) are infringed by its publication.

Any recognizable people in the photo have either consented to its publication, or are participants or bystanders at a public event where their consent is not legally required (§ 23 KUG). You will not upload a photo that singles anyone out in a demeaning way or against their visible wishes, and you will respect opt-out markers (such as red dots) used at our events.

You will not upload photos in which personal or health-related information of others is recognizable (for example test result sheets, screens showing measurements, medication, or comparable details). Photos showing such details will be rejected or cropped.

You will not upload a photo showing identifiable minors unless you have the express permission of a parent or guardian. We may require proof of that permission and may reject or remove such photos at any time without giving reasons.

You grant Valteris GmbH (operating Longevity Switzerland) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence for the duration of statutory copyright protection to store, reproduce, technically adapt (resizing, cropping, format conversion), publish and publicly communicate the photo in our event and community galleries, on landing pages, in the community newsletter and on our social-media channels, always in connection with community reporting. The licence is sublicensable only to our technical service providers. You retain ownership. You may request removal of a photo at any time for good-faith reasons; we will remove it from current placements within a reasonable period and cease further use.

Uploaded photos are not published automatically. They remain private and pending until an organizer reviews them against these terms. We may reject, crop, edit for technical purposes, or remove any photo at our sole discretion, without giving reasons. There is no right to publication.

We store the version of these terms you accepted and a timestamp with each upload, to demonstrate your consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR). Details on the processing of photos are set out in the Privacy Policy, section "Community & Event Photos".

You are responsible for photos you upload. To the extent permitted by law and subject to §§ 307-309 BGB, you will indemnify Valteris against third-party claims arising from your culpable breach of these terms, in line with the indemnification clause of the Terms of Service.

On upload, photos are resized and embedded metadata (EXIF), including any GPS location, is removed. Do not rely on metadata remaining in the file; do not include hidden information in uploads.
